비누, 치약, 샴푸 등이 자잘하게 올려져 있는 선반은 곰팡이는 물론 구석구석 때가 끼기 쉬운 곳이다. 그러므로 칫솔을 이용, 수시로 구석진 곳까지 꼼꼼하게 닦은 후 마른수건으로 한번씩 수건질한다.
